OTTAVIO TROIANO,

born in Manfredonia, Puglia, in 1947, since the early Seventies lives and works in Florence.

Painter, scenographer, costume designer, installer artist, has worked for public institutions and he has made exhibitions in Italy and abroad.

His work is linked to his place of origin (the magnificent Gargano, named the spur of Italy) and, in the same time, he is related to contemporaneity in a multidisciplinary way. This explains his passion for music and dance, to whom he has dedicated a great part of his research.

Lately he has been working on ancient books, leaving on the pages, through his graphics and painting, a very personal interpretation of the writing, producing a sort of anomalous palimpsest.

He is now sharing his life between Florence and Berlin.
